JAMMU, Sept 17: A comprehensive review meeting was convened today by Director Tourism Jammu Dr Vikas Gupta to assess the physical and financial progress of ongoing and new works taken up under Capex Budget with the concerned Superintending Engineers/Executive Engineers of Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
During the meeting, Dr Vikas Gupta directed all executive agencies to intensify efforts and maximize funds utilization released against approved outlay for ongoing and new works before the closure of the current financial year.
Special attention was given to the expedite the new sanctioned projects against which Administrative Approval has been accorded with the instruction to ensure timely tendering so that funds released during the current financial year be utilized judiciously.
Besides, the Assistant Director Tourism, Samba/Kathua and Rajouri/Poonch were directed to actively follow up the progress of the projects in their respective jurisdictions. They were also directed to identify and address any additional requirements necessary to facilitate the timely completion of the ongoing works.
The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on inter-departmental coordination and collective efforts to achieve the targets set under the Plan.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including Superintending Engineer of PW(R&B Division) of Samba/Kathua Arun Gupta, Superintending Engineer, Rajouri, Tilak Raj and Superintending Engineer, Poonch K K Atri, Deputy Director (E&S), Jammu Mamta Sharma along with concerned Executive Engineers of Vijaypur, Samba, Basolhi, Billawar, Hiranagar, Rajouri, Thanamandi, Kotranka, Nowshera, Electric Division and officers of the Directorate including Assistant Director Tourism, Katra & Assistant Director Tourism, Rajouri.
