JAMMU, Aug 3: A meeting of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held in the Forum’s office here today.
The meeting was presided over by Narinder Singh Jamwal, provincial president of the Forum and was attended by a large number of Principals/HoD’s/ lecturers and other members of the body.
In the meeting, the participants raised many demands pertaining to the +2 Cadre. Fateh Singh, HoD vociferously raised the long pending demand of the regularization of I/C Principals, CEO’s and Jt. Directors and other cadres in the department. He said that this demand has been brought to the notice of the Govt by the Forum many times but the Govt has given mere hollow assurances and I/C Principals have not been regularized after 2008. He demanded early regularization of all the I/C incumbents in the department. He also demands the benefits of running pattern in favour of +2 Cadre on the lines of other department.
The speakers demanded non-vacational status to the +2 Principals in view of heavy work during the summer/winter breaks as also enhancement in their grade pay to bring it at par with their counterparts serving in KVs & Navodya Vidalayas. The speakers were also critical of the State Govt in placing the +2 Lecturer’s in pay band 2 instead of pay band 3.
The speakers demanded that the lecturers repatriated from Leh and Kargil districts and those serving in the far flung areas be adjusted in their own locality in their parent districts in recognition of their services in hilly districts of Leh and Kargil braving inclement weather. They also urged the concerned officers to adjust the newly promoted lecturers in the schools at the earliest to fill up the existing vacancies and thus regulate the teaching learning activities in the schools properly.
