RAMGARH, Sept 5: Former Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee vice president, Yashpal Kundal here today visited heavy rainfall hit Galad village of Ramgarh Assembly segment and took stock of the situation there.
He listened grievances of the locals and expressed solidarity with the affected families.
Kundal noted that due to incessant rains many houses were damaged leaving several families struggling for basic necessities of life.
He flayed the administration for not providing immediate relief to the calamity hit people.
“Village roads have been completely waterlogged and turned into filthy drains, making access extremely difficult,” the Congress leader maintained adding that he himself had to wade through mud and slush, removing his clothes to reach the affected village.
Highlighting plight of the affected people, Kundal said: “People have neither safe shelters nor adequate ration to survive.”
He said that he fully understands the pain and suffering of the farming community and urged the administration to provide immediate relief material, safe housing and ration to the affected families.
