LEH, Aug 25: Chairman/ CEC of LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, was called on today by Gyen Tenzin Soepa, Director, Photang Jevetsal, and Skarma Sonam Tashi, Office Secretary, Photang Jevetsal. During the meeting, a message from the 14th Dalai Lama was delivered to the CEC through the Chief Representative.
In his message, the Dalai Lama highlighted the developmental progress of Ladakh, with emphasis on improvements in the economy and education. He also acknowledged the efforts of LAHDC Leh in extending welfare schemes of the Union Territory to Tibetan refugees settled in Ladakh, particularly the provision of new facilities and amenities in recent years.
CEC Tashi Gyalson, while responding to the message, said Ladakh is privileged to receive continuous guidance and blessings from His Holiness. He prayed for the Dalai Lama’s good health and long life and noted that the people of the region cherish his visits. The CEC added that Ladakhis look forward with hope to welcoming him again in the near future.
