JAMMU, Aug 21: A criminal was arrested in connection with a theft case registered at Police Station Bahu Fort 12 years back and on his disclosure, a pistol was recovered from his possession.
During investigation of a case FIR number 174/2023 registered under sections 454, 380, 411, and 201 of the Indian Penal Code, a team of Police Post Bathindi under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahu Fort got the custody of a notorious criminal Bagh Ali of Kiker Morh, Bari Brahamana, from RS Pura Police Station, where he is facing detention in another case.
On his disclosure, the investigating team recovered a 7.6 mm pistol from his possession.
“We’ve taken Ali’s custody from RS Pura Police Station and during his investigation, a pistol has also been recovered from his possession,” a police official said.
