MLA Budhal visits Panjnara, assures rehabilitation of families affected by land sinking

RAJOURI, Aug 17: Javed Iqbal Choudhary, MLA Budhal, today visited village Panjnara in Rajouri district where several houses have been damaged due to land sinking.
The District Administration, acting promptly upon receiving information, had earlier evacuated the affected families to safer locations, thereby preventing any major loss of life.
During his visit, Choudhary personally assessed the situation on ground.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma had already deputed officials from all concerned departments to conduct a detailed review of the damage and chalk out remedial measures.
Assuring full support, the MLA said that the affected families would be suitably rehabilitated and extended gratitude to the administration for its timely action.
He praised the Deputy Commissioner and his team for their consistent dedication in handling emergencies, remarking, “From the Budhal episode to Operation Sindoor and now in Panjnara, the administration has always stood at the forefront, working tirelessly for the safety and wellbeing of our citizens.”
Among others who were present during his visit included additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka, Dil Mir Choudhary, DSEO, Sandeep Sharma (Nodal Officer for Rehabilitation), Tehsildar Koteranka, Sahil Ali, DySP Sharafat Choudhary, Executive Engineer, Flood Control, Divisional Forest Officer, Social Forestry, District Mineral Officer; Ashfaq Choudhary, AEE PHE, Naim Naik, Range Officer, NDRF personnel, besides field officials of the Revenue, RDD and CAPD Departments.
