JAMMU, Aug 12: Security forces today detected and defused two rusted mortar shells along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
The shells were recovered during routine patrolling along forward locations along the LoC in the Balnoi area of the Mendhar belt, they said.
The Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot after the area was cordoned off and two shells were destroyed safely, they said.
