JAMMU, July 6: National Conference (NC) additional general secretary Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that a robust and responsive organizational structure is imperative to carry forward the NC’s time-tested political philosophy, a philosophy rooted in upholding the dignity and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir irrespective of region, religion or caste.
He was speaking at a function organized to honour the newly appointed additional spokespersons of the party. The function was organized among others by provincial secretary Mohd Ayoub Malik, Chander Mohan Sharma, Raghubir Singh Manhas and Ch Naresh Bittu. Senior leader and former Minister Harbans Singh was among those who were honoured on the occasion.
While interacting with prominent organizers including Tilak Raj Bhagat, Ashwani Charak, Rakesh Sharma Pahalwan, Chander Udhey Singh, Lucky Singh, Ch Razak, Randhir Singh Chib, Bishan Dass Bhagat, Parwinder Singh, Gourav Singh Jamwal, Ch Subash, Ch Showket, Anju Dogra, Priyanka Dogra and Madhu, Sadhotra said such gestures of recognition energize the party’s base and reinforce the spirit of camaraderie.
Highlighting the NC’s enduring commitment to inclusivity, peace and equitable progress, Sadhotra said these remain the cornerstones of the party’s agenda, enabling it to emerge as a steadfast defender of democratic rights through turbulent times.
“The synergy between the functionaries of various wings is the real strength of the NC,” he stated, emphasizing that this unity and mutual understanding has sustained the party through challenges.
Calling NC a people-centric movement, Sadhotra stressed the importance of grassroots engagement and the empowerment of marginalized sections. He urged the newly appointed additional spokespersons to stay grounded in public issues and serve as vital links between the leadership and the grassroots.
