KATRA, June 23: Police Station Katra today apprehended a drug smuggler and recovered narcotic substances from his possession.
Acting on reliable input, a police team from P/S Katra apprehended the accused in Nangal area and recovered 5.19 grams of heroin like substance along with a small digital weighing scale from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Pankaj Sharma, son of Omkar Sharma, resident of Jatwal, Tehsil Ghagwal, District Samba.
In this regard, a case under NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway to unearth the backward and forward linkages of the drug network.
