Dogri book ‘Shradhanjali’ by Kunwar Viyogi released

JAMMU, June 21: ‘Shradhanjali’ a Dogri book compiled and edited by Sudha Randhir Chaturvedi, wife of renowned Dogri Poet and Writer, Kunwar Viyogi was released here today by Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS).
The book comprised poetry of Kunwar Viyogi on Charan Singh, a versatile poet, along with the poetry of Late Charan Singh.
The book is written by Randhir Singh Jamwal Kunwar Viyogi.
Choudhary Lal Singh, former Minister was chief guest on the occasion whereas Padam Shree Jatinder Udhampuri presided over the function.
Hari Singh Chib, political activist was guest of honour.
Dignitaries on dais were Dogra Harish Kaila, president NDS, Lalit Sharma, convener, Prof Anupama Sharma, patron, Yash Pal Yash, general secretary and Narinder Singh Chib, member.
Lalit Sharma read a detail paper on the life and works of famous Dogri poet Charan Singh.
Hari Singh Chib appreciated the efforts of Kunwar Viyogi family in bringing out this publication.
Choudhary Lal Singh appreciated the endeavours of NDS in propagating Dogri language and Duggar culture. He paid rich tribute to Charan Singh on his 56th death anniversary.
Jatinder Udhampuri recalled his association with Charan Singh and Kunwar Viyogi, both intimate and great friends.
On this occasion NDS mooted a resolution to install life size statue of Late K.L Sehgal at any appropriate place in Abhinav Theatre complex which was unanimously passed by all the participants.
Col. K.S Jamwal (Retd), brother of Randhir Singh Jamwal also attended the programme.
Yash Pal Yash carried the proceedings of the programme.
