JAMMU, July 6: Separate meetings of the representatives of the J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee were held at Jammu and Srinagar under the chairmanship of Ram Kumar Sharma and Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari, respectively.
The agenda of the meetings was to discussed the long pending demands on which the State Government was back tracking despite a written agreement with the employees five years back and endorsed twice in 2010 and 2011.
The meet also chalked out the common strategy for joint meeting of employees representatives of different JKEJAC factions and independent organization at Srinagar and convention to be held also at Srinagar on July 9, 2014.
Those who attended the meetings, included Balwan Singh Jamwal, Madan Sangral, Kamla Sharma, Yash Pal, Marks Gill, Chaman Lal, Kuldeep Singh, Swarna Devi, Tripata Devi, Chhatr Singh, Payal, Noor Alam, Kewal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Krishan Lal, Pardeep Kumar, Mohd Yousuf Rather, Sanjay Dorjay, Ismail Kambay, Zahoor Alam, Sanjay Dhar, Mohd Yousuf Khanday, Shah Nazir Ahmed, Sudershan Sharma, M Yousuf Bhat, M Ayoub Pandit, M Shafi Bhat, Bashir Ahmed Dar, Javed Ahmed Dar, Abdul Rashid Dar, Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, Bashir Ahmed Malik, Shafiq Ahmed Mir, Bilal Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ghulam Mohd and Habibullah Ahanger.
Expressed their views over the agenda, the meeting discussed long pending genuine, enhancement of wages at par with other States, removal of pay anomaly, budgetary support to PSU employees, implementation of Medical Insurance Policy on minimum premium basis, grant of special duty allowance @12.5 percent to the employees of Ladakh region on the pattern of Central Government employees, etc.
