RAMBAN, June 9: A district level meeting of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), Ramban unit was held here today under the chairmanship of ABRSM State president, Ratan Lal Sharma.
New district body of ABRSM was unanimously elected during the meeting and Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas was elected as district president; Pawan Kishore, district general secretary; Dr. Jeevan Singh, district senior vice president; Pritam Singh, Nisha Lata and Jewan Singh, vice presidents; Preety Khajuria, additional general secretary; Sandeep Singh and Sudershan Singh, joint secretaries and Rakesh Kumar, district media secretary.
The meeting also discussed issues of teaching community including annual transfer drive, timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee meetings, implementation of a transparent transfer policy for Grade II and III teachers, restoration of Old Pension Scheme, rationalisation of teaching staff and administrative reforms to improve service conditions and career progression.
In his address, Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas reaffirmed ABRSM’s firm dedication to championing the rights and dignity of teachers.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were Onkar Singh, Bishan Singh, Vikas Sharma, Omkar Singh, Sudershan Dev Singh, Raman Sharma, Raj Kumar and others.
