Jammu girl honoured

JAMMU, July 4: A Jammu girl serving British Red Cross London as a volunteer has got the honour of attending Royal Garden party at the Buckingham Palace on the invitation of the Queen.
Manu Khajuria is a Volunteer Caseworker with the International Family Tracing, British Red Cross, London which works at reuniting family members separated due to war or natural disaster.
A  Graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and Post Graduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, Manu is devoting her time between working with the British Red Cross and being a School Governor for an Ivybridge Primary School, in Isleworth, London.
She traces her roots to village Bumnaal in Bishnah tehsil of Jammu where her paternal family hails from while her maternal family traces its  roots to Akhnoor.
According to Manu Khajuria, she wears her Dogra identity as a Badge of Honour, wherever she goes.
