JAMMU, July 4: Demanding complete absorption, dental surgeons continued their protest for the fourth consecutive day at Ambphalla Chowk and Anantnag in Kashmir and served 24 hours ultimatum to Government to fulfill the demands of dental surgeons otherwise they will start hunger strike and fast unto death.
Carrying placards and banners, large number of dental surgeons assembled at Ambphalla Chowk and Anantnag in Kashmir under the banner of Dental Surgeons Association (DSA) and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While speaking, Dr Asif Iqbal Chowdhary, president of the association said that the Government and the concerned department are ignoring the demands of unemployed dental surgeons of the State, compelling them to adopt the agitational path.
Dr Chowdhary said that injustice and discrimination faced by the unemployed dental surgeons of the State will not be tolerated at any cost.
He demanded complete absorption of unemployed dental youth, recruitment of dental surgeons on yearly basis and establishment of separate directorate for dental health in the State.
