JAMMU, June 28: The irate women of Ward No 1 of Mendhar Town today held a strong protest demonstration village at office of AEE, PHE-Sub-Division Mendhar, for not supplying water for last about one month.
Hundreds of women including housewives, working ladies and students today gathered at PHE Sub-Division, Mendhar and raised slogans against PHE Department and the concerned JE for ignoring their sufferings in the absence of water supply for last one month.
They demanded action against the concerned JE for not restoring water supply in the area even after repeated requests of the locals, who are suffering severely without water in this peak summer season.
