DODA, Apr 18: After the minor driver hit and injured a pedestrian here today, Police booked his father.
The minor was driving the car of Alto make bearing registration number JK06A/2434 in rash manner and hit a pedestrian at Y-junction Bharat road.
A swift action was taken by cops from Police Station Doda under the supervision of Inspector Parvaiz Khanday, SHO Doda and a case in FIR No. 83/2025 U/S 281/125(a)125 BNS was registered at Police Station Doda.
Father of the minor driver, Nar Singh, resident of Bagla Bharat was also booked under Section 199 MV Act for allowing the minor to drive the vehicle and the vehicle was also seized. Further investigation of the case was going on.
SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta has warned the vehicle owners and parents of minors that strict action will be taken if they allow minors to drive or unauthorized persons to operate their vehicles.
