RAJOURI, Apr 18: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Rajouri Police today apprehended a drug peddler and heroin-like narcotic substance recovered from him.
The operation was led by IPS Probationer Vinay Kumar, under the supervision of Police Station Rajouri.
During the patrol, the police team noticed a man acting suspiciously upon spotting the police and attempting to evade them.
The accused has been identified as Fahid Qazi, son of Mohd Bashir, a resident of Behrote, Rajouri.
A personal search led to the recovery of 07 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin.
Following the recovery, an FIR (No. 212/2025) was registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Rajouri.
