RAJOURI, June 19: Thannamandi police today recovered a kidnapped lady and arrested the accused.
A police spokesman said that, husband of a lady hailing from village Banghai, Thannamandi lodged a complaint with police station Thannamandi that his wife has been kidnapped by Mohammad Rafi, son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Ward number 6 of Rajouri town.
Accordingly a case was registered at police station Thannamandi and manhunt was launched to trace the lady and the kidnapper.
On specific inputs, police team from Thannamandi police station led by SHO DySP Probationer Mehraj Raina under the supervision of SDPO Surjeet Bhagat conducted a raid in a house at Rajouri town and recovered the abducted lady and also arrested the kidnapper.
The lady was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
