JAMMU, Apr 9: Three huts burnt to ashes due to fire at village Taroti Camp in Akhnoor area of Jammu district last night.
Reports said that the hut of Shaukat Ali, son of Mohammad Shafi, resident of Taroti, caught fire during last night. On receiving information, the men from Fire and Emergency Services Department reached the spot and controlled the fire. But before the arrival of fire fighting men two more adjoining huts of Shaukat Ali burnt to ashes.
Reasons of fire could not be ascertained, however, police is busy in investigation on the spot. There was no report of any loss of human life in the fire. But reportedly some items of daily use and furniture were burnt in the fire.
People of the area said that after fire in one hut, it spread to the two other huts as well. The police said that the cause of fire is being ascertained.
