JAMMU, Mar 27: Mayank Gupta clinched the Under-14 Boys Singles title in the Jammu District Open Lawn Tennis Championship, defeating Aahan Bhat by 6-0, 6-0 in a one-sided final at Maulana Azad Stadium’s Lawn Tennis Courts.
Earlier, Mayank triumphed over Prithvi Sharma by 7-1 in the semifinals, while Aahan Bhat defeated Nakul Mehra by 7-2 to reach the final.
In other categories, Yugaansh Jandiyal emerged victorious in the Under-18 Boys Singles, defeating Harsharan Singh by 8-6, while Hardeep Singh Soodan defeated Ritesh Kumar by 8-1. In Under-18 Boys Doubles, the pair of Saksham Amla and Vinamr Gupta won by 8-0 against Ritesh Kumar and Himanshu Mehra.
In Under-12 Boys Singles, Prithvi Sharma defeated Sharvil Mahajan by 7-0, Piyush Kumar triumphed over Pavish Gupta by 7-2, and Ayank Jaiswal won against Adyaan Arif by 7-4. The tournament is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Lawn Tennis Association in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
