KATRA, Mar 16: A two-day executive meeting of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) was today concluded at Shri Raghunath Temple in Katra.

The meeting was concluded in the presence of VHP’s National General Secretary, Bajrang Lal Bangra, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Mukesh Verma, VHP’s Regional President, Rajesh Gupta and Abhishek Gupta. During the meeting, various important topics were discussed, including the protection and management of temple properties.
The VHP leaders criticized the control of temple properties by certain state governments, stating that such actions were unacceptable.
The organization strongly opposed government interference in temple affairs and demanded that all temple properties to bring under Hindu management.
They also urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to refrain from controlling Hindu temples and instead allow committees formed by Hindu organizations to oversee their reconstruction and maintenance.
They emphasized that temples should be managed by the Hindu community, just as other religious sites are managed by their respective communities.
The leaders accused the government of deliberately targeting Hindu temples and properties.
The organization vowed to continue its fight for the protection of Hindu religious sites.
