JAMMU, May 26: Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj and Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar was celebrated with much fanfare and joy at village Sukha Grand, Jammu.
In the function, Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj was the chief guest and Tulsi Dass Langeh and Rakesh Wazir, State president and general secretary, Bahujan Samaj Party were the guests of honour.
Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj delivered religious sermons on the occasion and threw light on the life and mission of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj and Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
He appealed the people to follow the teachings of great dignitaries in order to make the nation strong.
While speaking Tulsi Dass Langeh and Rakesh Wazir asked the people to follow the path of these great personalities by removing disparity among different sections of the society on the name of caste, creed, colour, religion and make the nation a better place to live in.
They further said that this is the only way by which our country can progress and become good nation irrespective of hatred where humanitarian values be given first preference.
The committee members who organized the function included Milkhi Ram, chairman, Rattan Lal Thappa, president, Romesh Lal, general secretary, Ashok Bassan, secretary and Ravi Kumar, cashier.
Among others present were retd IGP CL Bansal retd Principal Behari Lal Dhingra, Sarpanch Mumtaz Choudhary, Sarpanch Balbir Singh, etc.
