UDHAMPUR, Dec 22: A notorious drug peddler was arrested in Chenani and 10.02 grams of heroin was seized from his possession while three drug peddlers were held while carrying 05 grams of heroin in Majalta, here today.
Police team from Police Station apprehended one person namely Makhan Din son of Hukum Din of Narsoo, Nallah, Chenani from Chenani-Champari road. On frisking, 10.02 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession.
A case FIR No. 188/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in this connection at PS Chenani and further investigation of the case is underway.
Meanwhile, Police team from Police Station Majalta, while performing vehicle checking at Dhar Road Majalta, stopped a car bearing registration number JK02AH- 2343. On frisking of driver as well as his associates in the vehicle, Police team recovered five grams of heroin like substance from them following which the trio were arrested.
The arrested persons were identified as Aman Singh son of Roop Singh of Katheel Dangu, Tehsil Majalta, Birdev Singh son of Pawan Dev Singh of Village Naali Peoni, Tehsil Majalta, Mohd Saim son of Mohd Sirajul of ward No. 7 Khaira Araria, Khagra Tehsil Narpat Ganj, distt Araria State Bihar A/P Majalta. A case under NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Majalta.
