JAMMU, Nov 5: Jammu Kashmir Dogra Association in Uganda (JKDAU) organised the Diwali get together for Indian community at Hotel Four Points by Sheraton.
The Indian High Commissioner to Uganda was the chief guest for the occasion, which was also graced by the Chairman of Indian Association. Monal Thakkar, the writer of famous movie Article 370, was special guest.
Thakkar shared his views and the research done on the topic before the movie was shot and explained how the abrogation of Article 370 has changed the life of J&K citizens.
During the event, the association members showcased their talent through songs and dances in Dogri & Bollywood style.
On the occasion, that Association announced that its next event will be Mata Vaishno Devi Ka Jagran, scheduled on 7th December 2024. The curtain raiser for the said religious event was launched by the chief guest, Indian High commissioner in Uganda, along with other dignitaries.
Famous devotional singers from J&K -Raju Vijaypuriya and Ravi Kumar have been invited for performing in the scheduled religious event.
