NEW DELHI, Apr 26: Wheat prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today due to increased supplies from producing regions against reduced offtake by flour mills.
However, rice basmati and other bold grains held steady in scattered deals.
Traders said increased supplies from producing areas against reduced offtake by flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1,520-1,530 per quintal.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji were also eased to Rs 830-850, Rs 840-850 and Rs 900-925 against last close of Rs 840-860, Rs 850-875 and Rs 980-1,000 per 50 kg respectively.
