HC directs Govt to provide uninterrupted power to Jagti Township

JAMMU, Apr 20: The State High Court has asked the Government to provide uninterrupted power supply to migrants at Jagti Township at par with similar migrants who have been provided this facility.
Disposing a petition filed by residents of Jagti Township through Shadi Lal Pandita S/o Sarwanand Pandita of Jagti Township versus Union of India through Ministry of Home Affairs and others Justice Tashi Rabastan of State High Court directed the Government that an appropriate consideration order be passed within a period of six weeks from the date of copy of the Court order is made available.
K L Pandita senior advocate represented the petitioners. The Court issued directives to Government while taking up the writ petition for final disposal and urged it to consider the claim of the petitioners on the basis of grounds taken, documents annexed with the writ petition and Electricity Rules/ Act  for providing uninterrupted power supply to camp inmates.
