Woman defers surgery to cast vote

JAMMU, Apr 16: The election fever has gripped the people to such an extent that a female patient postponed her gall bladder surgery, which was scheduled for today in the District Hospital, as she wanted to cast her vote tomorrow in Kathua.
Reports said the woman Raj Devi wife of Krishan Chand, a resident of village Drana in Nagri Parole area of Kathua district, was admitted in the District Hospital and she had been advised gall bladder surgery for removal of stolen.
The surgery was scheduled for today.
However, the woman wanted the doctors to postpone her surgery to next date as she wanted to cast her vote tomorrow. The doctors agreed to the woman’s request and deferred her surgery.
The woman said she would exercise her right to franchise tomorrow before going for surgery.
