JKP Wrestler Ishaq lifts 15th Nomain Dangal title

REASI, June 17: J&K Wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police has lifted 15th annual Nomain (Katra) Dangal title 2024 by defeating wrestler Vikrant of Delhi in the first malli main bout that lasted for seven minutes.
Dangal Committee Kotli Bajalian Nomain organized Dangal in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Mohd. Sharief (President), Manohar Lal and Mohan Lal Knathia. Shiv Kumar Sharma, President Kreeda Bharti Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion.
Naib Tehsildar Katra Dinesh Anthal, Patwari Katra Gulshan Jaral and Rashpaul Singh were the guests of honour. Prominent persons present on the occasion were Naresh Kumar (Pappulakri), Bashir Ahmed, Manjoor Hussain , Ved Parkash Pujari, former Sarpanch Roshan Lal, Deep Singh (PINKa), Rajinder Ramotra, Ajay Khajuria and Ram Chand.
Winner wrestler of 1st malli Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) was awarded with cash prize of Rs 61,000 along with “Mata Ki Chunari” by chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma and Naib Tehsildar Dinesh Antal while runner-up wrestler got Rs 50,000.
Second malli main bout was won by Babba of Kot Bhalwal who defeated Rancho of Haryana. Winner Babba got Rs 16,000 while runner-up wrestler Rancho got Rs 15,000 as cash prize money.
The 3rd bout was won by Dillar Khan of J&K Police Jammu who defeated Chandi of Maharashtra. Winner Dillar Khan got Rs 12,000 while runner -up Chandi got Rs 9,000 as cash prize money.
The 4th bout was won by Neeru Gujjar of BSF Chandigarh who defeated Sanjay Chib of Jammu. Winner Neeru got Rs 9,000 while runner-up Wrestler Sanjay Chib received Rs 7,000 as cash prize money.
In all 70 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and total Rs 3,50,000 was distributed as cash prize money among the wrestlers by chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Other results were Maam Hussain of Domail beat Ankush of Delhi, Billu of Kot Bhalwal defeated Vijay of Maharashtra, Shubam of Delhi outclassed Nissar of Jammu, Jamat Ali of Jatti trounced Arun of Jindrah, Murad Ali of Nagrota beat Sudesh of Delhi, Love of Kot Bhalwal defeated Asif of UP and Shaker Noor of Meerut beat Rinku of Delhi.
