JAMMU, Mar 18: President, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM), Sunil Dimple, today called upon Chief Engineer, PHE Jammu, KK Gupta and registered a strong protest over his failure to restore water supply in the many areas of the Constituency.
Dimple apprised the Chief Engineer of the problems faced by the people in the absence of water. All the houses, schools, hospitals, temples, hotels, restaurants and dhabas have gone dry, as no water has been supplied for last five days, he said adding even the people have no water for cooking, bathing and washing clothes.
He gave 24 hours ultimatum to the PHE Chief Engineer to restore water supply in all the areas of the West Constituency.
The Chief Engineer assured Dimple that all possible steps will be taken to restore the water supplies within 24 hours.
