UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a lane at Subash Nagar, Ward number 10 in the town.
The deceased identified as Hukam Chand (37) son of Riyal Chand of Sudh Mahadev. On being informed, police shifted the body to District Hospital Udhampur for conducting postmortem and other formalities.
A case in this connection has been registered for the further investigation.
Meanwhile, Udhampur Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Yash Pal of Nogelta, Chenani. He was arrested from Bus Stand area.
