JAMMU, Mar 12: All J&K Pensioners Association submitted the memorandum of demands to Finance Minister for early action, here today.
The demands presented were enchancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000pm, releasing of pending DA installment due w.e.f. January 2009 to June 2009 which is not released yet, grant of additional pension to the State Pensioners who attained the age 80, 85, 90, 100 years as per the analogy of Central Government, exemption of Income Tax to the pensioners irrespective of their monthly pension, release of DA installment to the State Pensioners as soon as Central Government releases the same.
The signatures to the memorandum are Madan Lal Abrol, general secretary, J&K Pensioners Association, Raj Kumar Banathia, vice president, Prof B L Bhardwaj and Bharat Bhushan, executive members, Yash Paul Senson, member general house and Vidhya Sagar Sharma.
