Five gamblers arrested, stake money recovered

JAMMU, Mar 12: Continuing its drive against gamblers in district Samba, the police arrested five gamblers under the juriduction of Bari-Brahmana police station today.
A police party  headed by PSI Varuneshwar Singh of Police Station Bari-Brahmana under the supervision of  Shazaad Salaria, SDPO Bari-Brahmana conducted raid near railway station Bari-Brahmana, nabbed five  gamblers namely Kuldeep Kumar son of Rattan Lal  resident of Telli Basti, Bari-Brahmana, Imam Hussain son of  Abdul Shakur resident of Railway Station, Bari-Brahmana, Munni Lal son of  Dharma resident of  Chattisgarh (MP) at present Bari-Brahmana, Hari Ram son of  Ram Krishan  resident of Chattisgarh (MP) at present Bari-Brahmana and  Parkash son of Nand Lal resident of Chattisgarh (MP) at present Bari-Brahmana.
Stake money of Rs 8700 and playing cards were recovered from the spot.
All were booked under 13 Gambling Act and produced before the court of law.
