NEW DELHI, Mar 4: Crude palm oil rose by Rs 1.20 to Rs 606 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on strong spot demand.
Besides, firming trend in the Asian region also supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April rose by Rs 1.20, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 606 per 10 kg with a trading volume of 155 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in March rose by 50 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 608.30 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 121 lots.
Analysts said firming trends in both global and spot markets supported the upside in crude palm oil futures prices here.
Meanwhile, palm oil for May delivery gained 0.80 per cent to 2,829 ringgit (USD 862) a tonne at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. (AGENCIES)
