KALAKOTE, Jan 19: President, Assembly Youth Congress, Kalakote, Wasim Kohli visited far flung areas of Kalakote Constituency including Godar, Solki, Brevi, Chak Methani, Kesargala and Sauma and interacted with the inhabitants of the area and took serious note of the lack of basic amenities and hardships being faced by the people.
During his tour, he observed that most of the villages are facing acute scarcity of water supply because of damaged pipes, schools are not functioning properly as the teachers hardly bother to perform their duties on regular basis and the students have been left at the mercy of God.
He also observed that the delay and the irregularities in the disbursement of the land compensation and damaged houses have added to the woes of the common man and poor people of the constituency.
Meanwhile, the representatives of Gujjar-Bakerwal community apprised Kohli about the hardships being faced by them due to shortage of ration and other essential commodities.
