SRINAGAR, Jan 18: A high level team of Indian Air Force officers that arrived Kashmir early this week assessed the operational capabilities of Air Force.
The team including Air Marshal SS Soman, Air Officer Commanding in Chief (AOC-in-C) Western Air Command, Indian Air Force assessed operational capabilities of each unit and section of Air Force Station Srinagar. He also assessed the infrastructure development being undertaken at this premiere base of the Indian Air Force.
The Air Marshal lauded the high state of alertness and determination displayed by the personnel in securing the base.
Western Air chief along with Rashmi Soman, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) arrived Valley earlier this week for a two day official visit to Air Force Station, Srinagar.
They were received by Air Commodore B Balachandran, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Srinagar, Preetha Balachandran President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local) and other senior officers.
The AOC-in-C was given a presentation on the operational role of Air Force Station Srinagar.
Rashmi Soman was given a presentation on the welfare activities undertaken for the wives of Air Force Personnel under the aegis of President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local). She also interacted with the ladies.
