KATHUA, Aug 27: Police has arrested a Plus 2 Lecturer who along with Principal of the Institute has mercilessly beaten a student at Government Higher Secondary School Bani inflicting grievous injuries on his person.
Acting swiftly a FIR has was registered in Police Station (PS) Bani under Section 323, 342, 504, 506 of IPC and Section 75 of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 yesterday. The accused namely Farooq Ahmed, Lecturer has been arrested and Mohammad Hafiz, Principal, is absconding. Further, both the accused persons have been suspended vide Government Order No. 252 – JK (Edu) 2023 Dated 26-08-2023. The situation now in Bani town is normal and under control.
