7674 pilgrims pay obeisance at Machail Shrine

KISHTWAR, Aug 12: With every passing day number of pilgrims participating in the annual Machail pilgrimage is increasing.
Today a total of 7674 pilgrims paid obeisance at the shrine of Goddess Chandi in Machail Darbar.
These pilgrims included 3852 male, 2760 female, 1058 children and 40 saints.
With this total number of pilgrims which so far paid obeisance at the shrine of Goddess in Machail this year has touched 57,446 mark.
Meanwhile, the preparations for Chharri Mubarak (Holy Mace) of Machail pilgrimage has been finalised which will start from Jammu on August 17 and will have a night halt at Doda city.
Sources informed that it will enter Kishtwar next day on August 18 and will reach Machail Darbar on August 22. On August 23 there will be special Hawan and other rituals at holy Darbar.
The Yatra is scheduled to conclude on September 5.
