Orthopedic Camp organized at Ranjit Global School

JAMMU, Aug 2: A free Orthopedic Camp was organized here today at Ranjit Global School, Bandhu, Rakhwala in Kunjwani.
The camp was organized by the Departments of Orthopedics, ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra in collaboration with J&K Orthopedic Association.
D.K Batra, Secretary, ASCOMS inaugurated the Camp in the presence of Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital; Dr. Rajesh K. Gupta, Prof & Head, Orthopedics ASCOMS and Dr. Manmeet Singh, Chairman, Ranjit Global School.
The Camp was a part of Bone & Joint Day activities. Bone & Joint Day is celebrated all over India on August 4 every year.
To celebrate this day, Indian Orthopedic Association and J&K Orthopedic Association have planned number of activities all over the State for the benefit of poor and needy people.
About 100 patients were examined in the Camp by a team of Orthopedic Surgeons from Department of Orthopedics-Dr. Anitipal Singh Raina, Assistant Prof. ASCOMS & Hospital; Dr. Sunny Sharma, Senior Resident headed by Dr. Rajesh K. Gupta.
Free medicines were also distributed to the needy patients.
The patients were also screened for free surgeries which will be conducted at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra lauded the efforts of Dr. Manmeet Singh, Chairman, Ranjit Global School for getting the Camp organized in their school for the benefit of people of the area.
D.K Batra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Rajesh Gupta for conducting the Camp in a smooth and efficient manner and desired that such Camps should also be held in future in other areas too.
