MENDHAR, Dec 11: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Ace of Spades Division Maj Gen V P Singh flagged in educational-cum-motivational tour of the youth hailing from this far-flung and border area here today.
In a function held at Barasingha Battalion headquarters here today, the GOC flagged in the tour of the youth who arrived here after visiting Ajmer, Udaipur, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur. The youth from Mankote, Chhajla, Tain, Chirangri, Choi and other areas returned with good experience from outside.
Besides GOC and other senior Army officers, SDM Mendhar several civilian and police officers and prominent persons of the area were present. The tour had been organised by the Barasingha Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati brigade. During this 10-day tour, the youth visited historical places of Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Ahmedabad.
The GOC and SDM interacted with the youth and inquired from them about their experiences. The local people lauded the efforts of Army for organizing such tours.
