JAMMU, Dec 11: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front was held in the Jagti township under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita today.
Addressing the meeting Pandita accused the National Conference of making false promises with the community till date on their rehabilitation in Kashmir Valley. He said the policies of the Party were main cause of the mass exodus of Pandits from Valley.
He demanded construction of three satellite townships for the rehabilitation of Pandits in Valley besides payments of compensation for the losses suffered by the community, removal of encroachments from KPs land.
He expressed concern over prolonged power cuts in Jagti township and demanded improvement in the situation besides solving the problems of the camp inmates and improving sanitation system etc.
