Commandant IRP sanctions Welfare Loan

JAMMU, Mar 26: In order to meet out the emergent expenses of officers/officials and as a welfare measure, CO IRP XI Bn Anantnag sanctioned Rs 6.5 lakh welfare loan in favour of the personnel of the Battalion.
A meeting of the Battalion Welfare Committee was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Sandeep Mehta, Commandant IRP Xl Bn for sanctioning the welfare loans for the year 2022-2023.
A total of 21 applications were received and welfare loans were sanctioned in favour of 19 eligible personnel.
A loan of Rs. 40,000 each was sanctioned in favour of two personnel for their marriage while a loan of Rs. 40,000 each in favour of five personnel for the marriage of their dependants.
An amount Rs. 30,000 to 40,000 each was sanctioned in favour of nine personnel for treatment of their dependants/self treatment.
One case pertaining to higher education of the ward of an employee was also approved with the sanction of Rs. 30,000.
In addition to the above, an amount of Rs. 15,000 each was sanctioned in favour of two personnel for meeting social obligations like circumcision etc.
At the outset, the CO expressed satisfaction on the timely disbursal of welfare loans as it helps in meeting certain expenses of Jawans without facing any financial difficulty.
He also informed the participants about various welfare measures being taken by the Police Department for the welfare of NoKs of cops and said that all Police units are committed to provide all possible assistance to police families.
The chairing officer reiterated that all the grievances will be duly looked into and necessary steps will be taken for their timely redressal.
