Shaheed DySP Manjit Memorial tournament concludes

POONCH, Mar 26: District Police organised one day Volleyball championship in collaboration with Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club at GDC Ground, wherein Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club senior team clinched title of the tournament, here today.
Seven teams across the district participated in the championship which was played on a knockout basis. In the first match, Khanaiter Volleyball Club beat Bacheya Wali Volleyball Club by 2:0 sets, Gobhi Volleyball Club defeated Behra Volleyball Club by 2:0 sets, Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial trounced Masjid Mohalla Volleyball Club, Shaheed Dysp Manjit Singh Memorial Junior team beat Gobhi Volleyball Club, Shaheed Dysp Manjit Singh senior team defeated Khanaiter Volleyball Club.
In the final match, Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial senior team beat Shaheed Dysp Manjit Singh junior team by 3:0 sets (25:21, 25:19 & 25:23).
Mohd Rashied Dustam, District Treasury Officer was the chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of the police and Mohd Tariq Chairman Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club for organizing the tournament.
DySP Arfat Hussain, DySP DAR Poonch Mohammad Shafiq and Ranjit Rao SHO Poonch were present during the event. The matches were officiated by Shabbir Ahmed, Ramiz Tariq, Mohd Ayaz, Payal Sharma and Shaheen Akhter.
