Burglary cases solved in Baramulla, 2 arrested

Srinagar, Mar 26: Police in Baramulla today solved a burglary case by arresting two accused engaged in the incident and recovering stolen stuff from their possession.
Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Tantraypora Palhallan in Pattan, filed a complaint with the police on March 25, 2023, alleging that during the intervening nights of March 24 and 25, 2023, some unidentified burglars broke into his home and stole copper utensils.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources, the investigating officers zeroed in on some suspects, one among them namely Khursheed Ahmad Waza, son of Ghulam Mohd Waza resident of Tantraypora Palhallan confessed that he along with other accomplice identified as Tanveer Ahmad Reshi son of Ghulam Mohd Reshi resident of New Colony Palpora Pattan have committed the theft.
“Subsequently, accused Tanveer Ahmad was also arrested for his involvement in the commission of crime,” police said.
On their disclosure, police said, stolen property was recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody.
