SRINAGAR, Jan 18: Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) today took out an anti-drug rally in Budgam district from Main Chowk to DC office.
The rally was led by Sanjay Saraf (National general secretary/National spokesperson of the Party) while as many senior leaders including Basharat (J&K president), Shahnawaz Hussain (J&K vice president) and Saiful Gulzar (youth president J&K) participated in it.
Speaking on the occasion, Saraf spoke about the ill and devastating implications of drugs leading to loss of many precious young lives and destruction of the younger generation. He urged parents, educators and intellect groups to keep children away from this poison by being vigilant.
Saraf advised the parents to collaborate with schools, seek counseling and not to attach stigma and shame to the young children and adults if they come up to confess. He also appealed to the Ulemas and leaders of other religions as well as intellectuals to play their role in keeping the generation away from drugs.
“There is a need to crack down on drug dealers in every part of Jammu and Kashmir to destroy their network,” Saraf said, adding, everyone should play their role in saving the young generation and future of the land. He said Ulemas and the Government should involve and create counseling centers to eradicate this evil issue from our society.
