Devender Rana passes away

JAMMU, Oct 31: Prominent BJP leader, MLA Nagrota and noted businessman Devender Singh Rana passed away tonight in a private hospital at Faridabad.
He was 59 and is survived by his mother, wife and three children including two daughters and a son and two brothers including Union Minister in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and retired Engineer Satinder Singh.

Rana, who also served as Political Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during NC-Congress coalition Government from 2009-2014 was not keeping well.
He was admitted to a leading private hospital in Faridabad where he breathed his last tonight.
He was first elected to Legislative Council and then to the Legislative Assembly from Nagrota in 2014 on National Conference mandate.
Rana, who was also a prominent businessman of Jammu and Kashmir, joined the BJP in 2021 and was elected as MLA from Nagrota in September-October Assembly elections with record margin.
His body is being brought from Faridabad to his Gandhi Nagar residence.
