JAMMU, Nov 3: The members of All Jammu Based Reserve Category Employees Association Kashmir (AJBRCEAK) serving in different departments in different districts of Kashmir division are protesting continuously for the redressal of their genuine demand to framing a suitable comprehensive transfer policy.
The employees are pretesting at Ambedkar Chowk for the last 156 days. They said that the situation in the Kashmir valley is still not conducive for these employees to resume their duties in the valley.
They are hopeful that their genuine demand for transfer policy will be fulfilled very soon but it is unfortunate that some DDOs in Kashmir have stopped the salary, specially those serving in RDD, Health, Forest, Sheep Husbandry and Education Department.
These employees are being forced by the DDOs to resume their duties for withdrawal of their salaries. If these DDOs take the responsibility of the safety and security of these employees then they will resume their duties. These employees are hand to mouth earners and it is not possible for them to meet their both ends. The employees once gain requested LG administration to clear withheld salaries of all these Jammu based minority employees. The employees whose salaries are withheld are very hopeful that their salaries will be credited in their accounts very soon.
The employees further added that the situation in Kashmir valley is not conducive and they aren’t in position to join their duties as they have life threat, thus these employees must be exempted from bio-metric attendance because these employees are protesting for a long time in Jammu to get a suitable comprehensive transfer policy and to save the lives of these employees from target killing in Kashmir, of the employees said. AJBRCEAK sought intervention of LG Administration into the matter.
