Some vested interests left Cong in crisis: Magotra

UDHAMPUR, Sept 3: Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra today alleged that some vested interests have left the party at the time of crisis.
Magotra who was flanked by former MLA Chenani, Dina Nath Bhagat, Anil Pachiala, Sunil Kapoor, Hans Raj Thakur and Suresh Khajuria at a press conference here, further said that Congress has struggled for the Nation for independence before 1947 and served the country after 1947 for more than six decades. He said that in the present turmoil, we have to strengthen the Congress party for peace, progress and prosperity.
He alleged that some party leaders from Udhampur having vested interests have resigned from the party but majority of the Congressmen were still with party. Magotra further said that Congress is not only a political party but a movement of secular ideology. He alleged that BJP has grabbed power by spreading fanaticism in the country.
Magotra said Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are struggling against the nefarious designs of BJP. He claimed that people will realize one day that secularism is the only solution to many problems in the country.
Several senior leaders Suram Chand, Gunjar Singh, Vijay Padha, Romesh Magotra, Shiv Kumar, Navneet Thakur, Vinod Dogra, Shivam Sharma, Jeevan Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
