712 students of Allen selected for KVPY Fellowship

JAMMU, July 3: Allen students have proved their excellence in the results of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) session 2021-22 organized by IISC Bangalore on behalf of Indian Department of Information and Technology.
Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, Allen Career Institute said that 712 students of the institute have been selected for fellowship, out of which 607 students are from classroom coaching and 105 students are from distance education. Along with this, 9 students got Ranks in the top-10 from class 11 (SA stream) and 12 (SX stream) and 12th pass (SB stream). Allen’s classroom students Samarth Bhagyesh Patel and Aditi Singh bagged All India Rank 1 and 2 in SA category (Class 11) and Jishnu Gundu got AIR 9. Similarly in SB Stream, Sayuditi Raut got AIR 3. In class 12 SX Stream, Divyanshu Malu got AIR 5, Tejas Sharma got AIR 7, Abhijit Anand and Akshad Rajendra Mhaske got AIR 9 and Dhruv Alop Shah got AIR 10.
Dr. Maheshwari told that every year this examination is conducted in two phases. Interviews are held after qualifying the written aptitude test and fellowship is awarded on the basis of combined result of both the exams. In view of Covid this year, the result has been released only on the basis of Aptitude test. Under the fellowship, for three years of graduation (UG), Rs 5000 per month and a contingency amount of Rs 20,000 are given. Similarly, for two years of post-graduation (PG), 7 thousand rupees per month and 28 thousand rupees contingency amount is given. Under the incentive scheme, the fellowship is awarded for a maximum period of 5 years or up to pre-PhD examination. For this, the student has to take admission in B.Sc., BS, B.Statistics, B.A. Maths, Integrated MSc or MS.
