Srinagar, Sept 10: High Court today directed the Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) to be personally present in the court on Thursday to explain contradiction in the statements made by him before the court.
A Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, after hearing a PIL over Elementary Teachers’ Training colleges, observed that the statements submitted by the Chairman BOSE, Hardesh Kumar, and the senior Additional Advocate General J A Kawoosa are “not understandable” due to their disputing nature.
The court rapped the Government through its AAG after it observed that on one hand Chairman says the enquiry report could not be sustainable and on the other hand he says that matter has been sent to IGP for further investigation.
“This (contradiction) leads to many questions which need to be answered (by the Chairman),” the Bench observed. The petition was filed by Advocate Arshad Andrabi.
