SRINAGAR, May 15: Police today said to have arrested one drug peddler in Sopore and recovered psychotropic substance from his possession.
A police party during patrolling at Hygam, Sopore intercepted one person who was moving suspiciously, police said.
During checking, officers were able to recover 20 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from his possession.
“He has been identified as Irshad Ahmad Lone son Ghulam Muhammad Lone resident of Wagub Sopore. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 45/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tarzoo and an investigation initiated.
